Interview dates

Medicine interview dates 2026, for 2027 entry.

When each undergraduate-entry medical school sends its interview invitations, holds its interviews and makes its offers for 2027 entry, as each university or its admissions centre publishes them. Checked on 27 October 2026. Dates move, so confirm on the school's own page before you plan around one.

Griffith University does not interview school leavers, so it has no dates here.

When will I hear back?

From the offer, at most schools. The schools on this page publish an offer date, not a date for telling you how the interview went, so between the interview and the offer round you will usually hear nothing. That silence is the normal state of things and tells you nothing either way.

Most offers wait for final ATARs, because most schools need your final results before they can rank you. For the NSW schools that means UAC's January Round 1, on 8 January 2027. Later rounds follow as places are declined.

Start before the invitation

At some schools the gap between the invitation and the interview is a month or more. At others it is a few days, or the invitation arrives in the middle of the holidays. If you wait for the email to start preparing, the school with the shortest gap decides how ready you are.

  • Plan from your earliest likely interview. Put that date into the timeline planner and work back from it.
  • Read your invitation twice. It usually names the format and the length, and sometimes the number of stations.
  • Keep the holidays free. Several schools interview in December and January, and some offer no alternative dates.

How these dates were checked

Each date in the table comes from the university's own published key dates, or from its admissions centre's, linked beside it. Where a school has not published its dates for 2027 entry, the table says so, and anything reported elsewhere is labelled as reported. I check every row each September, before invitations go out, and again as the offer rounds approach.
