Interview soon
Interview in a few days? You can still prepare.
Invitations often come late, and some schools give only days of notice. A short, focused block of practice is still worth doing. Here is what you can book at short notice, and what each costs.
In short: paid last-minute preparation for Australian medical school interviews is available online, at short notice. A three-day intensive is $900, a full mock interview $150, a 60-minute session $100, and a 30-minute intro session $40. Book with your interview date.
What you can book this week
Three-day intensive · $900
Three days in a row, online, two 90-minute blocks a day. Eighteen or more stations, a full mock on the third day, a written report and a follow-up. Built for an invitation with under two weeks to go.
Full mock interview · $150
90 minutes under interview conditions, with a written debrief report. For when you have prepared and need one real run first.
Individual session · $100
60 minutes, one-on-one, on the station types you find hardest. For one or two gaps you already know about.
Intro session · $40
30 minutes. We work out what you need in the time you have. Credited against anything you book after it.
All online, in Australian dollars. Payment is due before each session.
What a few days gives you
The first time you hear a station clock should not be on the day. In a few days you can run the format out loud and to time, with someone marking you the way a panel does. In my experience, structure and timing are what let students down first, and both respond quickly to practice with feedback.
I will not promise an outcome, at short notice or otherwise. What you get is honest feedback while there is still time to use it.
If you have a day or two
- Book a mock or a single session. One real run with feedback is the most useful thing left to do.
- Run the free stations tonight. Out loud, to time, and record yourself if you can bear to.
- Know your two answers cold. Why medicine, and why this school. Both come up somewhere.
Questions people ask at short notice
Is it too late to get medical interview coaching?
Not if you have a few days. I take bookings at short notice, online. With under two weeks, the three-day intensive ($900) is built for it; with a day or two, a full mock ($150) or a single session ($100) is the better use of the time.
Can I prepare for an MMI in a week?
You can prepare well enough to walk in knowing the format. A week is time to run stations out loud and to time, get marked the way a panel marks, and fix the two or three habits that cost the most.
How much does last-minute medical interview preparation cost?
The intensive is $900 for three days. A full mock is $150, an individual session $100, and a 30-minute intro session $40, which comes off anything you book after it. All in Australian dollars.
Which interviews do you prepare for?
Undergraduate-entry medical school interviews in Australia, MMI and panel, including WSU, UNSW, Newcastle JMP, Monash, UQ, Charles Sturt, Adelaide, UWA, Curtin, Bond and JCU. Everything is online.
Do you guarantee an offer?
No. Nobody honest can. What I offer is practice under realistic conditions and feedback you can use before the day.
