When will I hear back from Curtin?
Offers for 2027 entry: Through TISC: 24 December 2026 in the main round and 20 January 2027 in the second round, then direct offers from Curtin in February. The offer is the answer. Curtin publishes no date for telling you how the interview went, so hearing nothing in between is normal.
Every school's offer dates, and why the wait is so long.
My note on Curtin
Curtin names critical appraisal, which is rarer than it sounds. Expect a station that hands you a claim or a news item and asks what you make of it. What is marked is how you weigh it. I do not coach for Casper.
Preparing for an MMI
Each station is marked on its own, so the two skills that matter most are reading the prompt for what it is really asking and leaving a bad station behind in its room. Both can be practised, and both are what the stations on this site are for.
What to work on
Curtin publishes “communication and critical appraisal skills” among the qualities it assesses. These are the marking domains that covers, and the ones its stations most often turn on.
- Communication Do you answer the question that was asked, clearly, at the right length, and can you be understood by someone who is not a doctor?
- Ethical reasoning Can you see both sides of a dilemma, name the principle at stake, and reach a decision you can defend?
Expect to be asked why Curtin in particular. How to answer “why do you want to study here?”
Stations to run first
These cover the areas Curtin says it marks, or the areas its stations most often turn on. Thirty seconds to read each question, two minutes to answer it out loud.
